President Silanyo Fires Aviation Ministry’s Director General, Appoints New One

Hargeisa, Oct 31, 2013 (SDN) —Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo has fired the Director General of the ministry of civil aviation and air transport Ahmed Dalal Farah, while appointing Omer Abdilahi Adam Qalinle for his replacement

A presidential decree #JSL/M/XILQ/249/1-2129/102013 released on the 31th October the presidential spokesman Ahmed Sulaiman Dhuhul read, “the head of state in conformity with section 3, Article 90 of the Somaliland constitution, and in view of the importance Director General posts have to national development and after consulting with concerned officials hereby announce that as from today the Omer Abdilahi Adam Qalinle is appointed to the post Director General of Aviation and Air Transport Ministry”.

The presidential decree also thanked the former DG Ahmed Dalal Farah for the time he served as the DG of the aviation ministry while ordering the aviation minister mohamoud Hashi Abdi ordered to facilitate his replacement’s ease of duty assumption through an immediate hand over.
