President of Somali regional state in Ethiopia talks about Somaliland’s trade and security ties
Wajale – The President of Somali regional state in Ethiopia, Abdi Mohamoud Omar has talked about the relation that his adminstration wants to have with Somaliland.
First, he said that Ethiopia’s first plan is to have ties based on justice and friendly manners with its neighbours.
He revealed that Ethiopia’s stability, peace and tranquility is quite important for Somaliland and the vice versa is true.
He stated that both Somaliland and Ethiopia are commonly united against the fight of extremism and terrorism.
Mr. Abdi speaking on the issue of Sultan Wabar who used to hide in Ethiopia told that his adminsteration and that of Ethiopia can no longer harbor Somaliland’s foe in their territory.
Speking of the trade between Ethiopia and Somaliland said that both countries signed a security and trade pact in Diri Dawa which bans from both countries not allow the smuggling of illegal goods.
He sent a message to the Somali speaking people in the Horn of Africa and said that the only enemy is the extremist Al Shabab qroup. He called that schools that brain wash young people should be banned.
