Mahmoud Abbas rejects forced displacement of Palestinians at AU Summit

Addis Ababa (QJ) -During the 38th AU Summit in Addis Ababa, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas strongly opposed any attempt to forcibly remove Palestinians from their land.

He dismissed the idea of a new “Deal of the Century”, calling it a delusion.
He accused Israel of using forced displacement as a cover for war crimes, genocide, and illegal settlement expansion.

Abbas stressed that Gaza’s refugees should return to their original homes from 1948 under UN Resolution 194.
He urged the international community and the UN Security Council to intervene to counter rising extremist threats and protect the two-state solution.
