Local Support for Hargeisa’s Mental Health Centre
Hargeisa (SDN)-The chairman of SUTEK University in Hargeisa Dr. Sa’id Sheikh Mahamed recently made a large donation of food to the Centre for Mental Health in Somaliland’s capital.
The donation consisted of rice, beans and grains. The head of the centre Mahamed Hasan acknowledged the importance of this donation for those who are in dire need. He also thanked the University’s Chairman saying that this is not the first time that he has donated to the centre.
The head of the organization which takes care of those with mental health issues asked members of the public who could afford to donate to do so as a mercy towards the less fortunate.
The Chairman of the University Sa’id Sheikh Mahamed spoke about the reasons behind his donation and stated that it primarily stems from a commitment to humanitarian principles and empathy towards his brothers and sisters afflicted with mental illness.
