Landmine explosion kills one near Bossaso

Bossaso January 29, 2023 (QJ) – Reports coming from the Kalabeydh area near Boosaaso in the Bari region today indicate that an explosion took place causing various casualties.

The explosion, which was heard in most of the area’s neighborhoods, is said to have been a mine placed at a busy commercial location, resulting in death and injury.

One person reportedly died and three others, including two soldiers, were injured. Reports indicate that the explosion took place while soldiers from the Puntland administration were present at the site.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Boosaaso for treatment and the situation in Kalabeydh has since returned to normal.
