Israeli military issues orders to evacuate the eastern part of Khan Younis

Gaza July 01, 2024(QJ)-The Israeli military has issued orders to evacuate the eastern part of Khan Younis following heavy rocket fire from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) militants that caused significant damage in Israel.

Approximately 20 rockets were fired toward several Israeli communities near Gaza, described by PIJ as a response to “the Zionist enemy’s aggression against our Palestinian people.”

Israel’s military confirmed the rocket barrage but reported no significant casualties. However, the attack underscores Palestinian militants’ continued capability to launch rocket attacks even after seven months since the conflict began on October 7.

The United Nations has reported that Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced multiple times since the conflict began.
