Israeli forces kill over 70 in Gaza

Gaza July 23, 2024(QJ)-Health officials in Gaza have reported that at least 70 Palestinians were killed in airstrikes and tank shelling by Israeli forces targeting parts of central Gaza.

This escalation followed the return of Israeli tanks to Khan Younis and its surrounding areas, with Israeli forces issuing urgent evacuation orders to residents.

Health officials noted that the casualties included women and children, with the number of injured reaching approximately 200 on Monday.

Since the beginning of Israel’s assault on Gaza in October, the number of Palestinians killed has surpassed 39,000, with around 89,800 injured, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

Israel launched its offensive on Gaza following a deadly attack by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of around 1,200 Israelis and the abduction of several others.
