Israeli forces bomb Hezbollah stronghold in Southern Beirut

Beirut July 30, 2024(QJ)  -The Israeli military bombed southern Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, tonight, targeting the Hezbollah stronghold.
So far, no additional details have been provided, though there are reports of casualties and injuries.
It remains unclear how Hezbollah will respond to tonight’s bombing, as Israel claimed the attack targeted a senior Hezbollah military leader.
The Israeli target, known as Fuad Shukr, reportedly survived the bombing.
In recent days, Israel has threatened to bomb Lebanon in retaliation for last Saturday’s attack on the Golan Heights, a region Israel captured from Syria.
The Saturday attack resulted in the deaths of at least 12 people, mostly young soccer players.
