Israeli attacks on Tehran described as having limited damage

TEHRAN October 27, 2024(QJ)-The Israeli military launched extensive attacks on Iranian military bases, targeting around 20 locations across Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran over several hours. Iranian forces confirmed the death of four soldiers following the attacks on Saturday, describing the resulting damage as “limited.”

The Israeli forces announced the completion of their operation, with military spokesperson Daniel Hagari warning that any retaliatory action from Iran would prompt a response from Israel. Iran’s air defense systems reportedly intercepted parts of the assault, according to Iranian defense officials. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Iran’s “right and duty” to defend itself against external aggressions.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern over escalating Middle Eastern hostilities, condemning the increasing violence and urging all parties to de-escalate the situation.
