Information Being Sought on Somali Patient in Libya
Tripoli (SDN)-A Somali man is stranded in a Tripoli hospital where he has been struggling with a psychological disorder.
According to doctors who have been caring for the patient, the man arrived at the hospital three years ago complaining of an illness. He identified himself as Abdullahi Jaama’, doctors later diagnosed him with what appears to be depression or a similar psychological disorder.
The patient does not speak or leave his bed even to use the bathroom; he spends the majority of the time in a sleep state. However, he does manage to eat what he is given without looking at anyone or speaking.
Anyone who knows this man or is related to him is being asked to get in touch with the communications office of the Somali embassy in Libya so the patient can be identified and possibly be reunited with relatives.
Abdiqani Mohamed Wacays is the Ambassador to Libya, the embassy’s email is webmaster@somaligov.net
