IDF Spokesperson admits Israel can’t destroy Hamas

Tel Aviv June 20, 2024 (QJ) -The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari, has surprisingly admitted that Israel cannot guarantee the destruction or elimination of Hamas.

He made these remarks in an interview with Israel’s Channel 13, saying, “Hamas is an idea, Hamas is a party. It’s rooted in the hearts of the people – whoever thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong.”

He further emphasized, The cost of the war we are waging is very high, and we may not always be able to win it.”

Following his statement, Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu, said, “Destroying Hamas is the goal of the war, and the Israeli army is determined to achieve it.”

Israeli media are now highlighting the internal conflict between the military and Netanyahu, especially families of Hamas-held hostages who accuse Netanyahu of prolonging the conflict unnecessarily, with reasons including his desire to remain in power.
