I am a British citizen but I not registered for Britain, my homeland

I am Nim’an Brian Bowden, 24 years old British-somali neglected in Somaliland, Hargeisa. My father was Brian Bowden William Thomas who came to Somaliland in 1958 before the independence of Somaliland. He worked as a water engineer for Hargeisa Water Agency for many years.  Mr. Bowden different more a woman including my mother Run Aw Dahir Mohamed.  My father was last the last British citizen working in the British Embassy of Somalia in Mogadishu in the early 1991 when Somalia entered into the chaos and anarchy and the central government collapsed.

My father was ever humanitarian and kind to the human. He liked Somalia and so that was the last British citizen remains in Mogadishu when all diplomats and other British citizens flew to home as the article of of  Aidin Harley written by Dailybeast in 2003 shows.   He managed to borrow  sum of money for the Somali staff  remained in the Embassy when due to that  Bowden was  killed  by eight gangs men in a night time in January 1991 and gold, money and food was as well  robbed by them. The State-run of Mogadisu radio aired the death of my father and the AP News Association wrote about my father’s death at that time.

I was young adolescent and could not guess how the things were going on but with my mother we moved to Hargeisa and we lost my elder brother in the Mogadishu chaos. My mother Run Aw Dahir Mohamed also died in 1994 and then I had to face a difficult time and every hardship in life.

I was among the vulnerable street children in the valley of Hargeisa and in the open and who lives on a hook and a by a crook – I was doing shoe polishing and every heavy child labor for the business places in Hargeisa.   When I grew major, I joined the business stations and became a bus conductor and married from Ethiopia in 2010 and have remained vulnerable group in the IDPs Camp of State-house, Hargeisa.

I went to Addis Ababa to submit my case to the British Embassy two different times in 2006 and 2009 and each time stayed a year to ensure my target but I couldn’t  success because I couldn’t meet the right officials and the other staff told me to pay the fee for  such form registration which was beyond my capacity.  I went to Somaliland Liaison Office in Addis Ababa but they didn’t consider my case.

I,  Niman  Brian Bowden,  have long suffered from loneliness and have been the victim of  severe discrimination as I am regarded  an outcast., abandoned and forgotten by  by his father’s homeland and derided by the land of his mother and sometimes say “Love of child and a child of two nations” in a Moslem nation where illegitimate child is not wanted at all and as I am not belonging to any tribe  of the Somalis which is strictly valued in Somalia.

But was born legally and I am the son of   Brian Bowden William Thosam and  Run Aw Dahir Mohamed and of course my father has had relative and existent background in Britain who I have to tend to and belong to.

Therefore,  I hereby request the British Government and those who support such humanitarian case of mine to consider positively responding to appeal and help me meet my next of  kin and relatives from father side  Brian Bowden.
