Haksoor Leader Denies Reaching a Deal with Somaliland Government
Hargeisa, Jun 20 2013 (SDN) – Haksoor political association which failed to qualify as a political party in last year’s local council elections has denied that they have reached a deal with KULMIYE led government of President Ahmed Silanyo.
According to a press release issued by the chairman of Haksoor Hassan Issa Jama has said that the first phase of negotiations with the government ended with agreeing four points and common understanding which will pave the way for the second phase of negotiations which will give details about the main points agreed on.
On Sunday night Haksoor leader had a closed door meeting with president Silanyo and after that meeting a committees from the government and Haksoor held a joint press conference at the presidential palace announcing that they have agreed points without giving the details of the points agreed on.
Somaliland government and Haksoor political association has been engaged in talks for the last three months, in a bid to solve an impasse on the results of the 28 November 2012 local elections.
