Egypt presents plan to rebuild Gaza
CAIRO (SD) – Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Assem El-Gazzar, stated that Egypt is capable of contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza “in the shortest possible time.”
Speaking at an event organized by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, he emphasized that Egypt “stands out due to its tens of thousands of skilled engineers and the presence of large, active companies working in the construction and contracting sectors, which form the foundation for implementing the most effective reconstruction plans.”
El-Gazzar mentioned that Egypt has presented a reconstruction plan for Gaza without displacing the Palestinian people, though he did not provide further details.
“Unfortunately, we have witnessed over a year of devastation affecting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, leading to widespread destruction of Palestinian lands,” he added, reiterating Egypt’s “firm rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their lands.”
