Bodies recovered from demolished buildings in Jabalia

Jabalia June 02, 2024(QJ)-Emergency response teams in Jabaliya have reported retrieving over 100 bodies from buildings demolished by Israeli forces, two days after the Israeli military withdrew from the area.

Medical sources at Kamal Adwan Hospital indicated that emergency responders and civil defense teams have extracted more than 120 bodies from collapsed buildings in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. The area witnessed intense fighting between Palestinian fighters and Israeli forces, who have now withdrawn for the second time.

During the latest operation, Israeli forces in Jabalia had retrieved the bodies of seven hostages, and last month the military reported “perhaps the fiercest” fighting there since the start of the war.

On Friday, the Israeli military announced that they had concluded their 20-day offensive in the Jabaliya area.
