Amnesty: U.S. sold precision missiles to Israel

Gaza December 07, 2023 (QJ) -Amnesty International’s human rights monitoring organization has stated that Israel has employed US-made precision missile system that caused casualties in the Gaza Strip.

An investigation conducted by Amnesty International accused Israel of using a US-made precision missile system in an airstrike on Gaza in October, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians. The organization pointed out that the US-made weapons have been widely used by the Israeli military.

According to the report, the airstrike targeted a residential area in Deir al-Balah neighborhood in central Gaza, resulting in the collapse of multiple residential buildings and causing the deaths of at least 43 civilians, including many women and children.

Amnesty International expressed concern over the use of the weapon and raised questions about whether it complies with international law, especially in densely populated civilian areas.

The organization called for a comprehensive investigation into the incident and urged the international community to hold those responsible accountable for potential violations of international humanitarian law.

Israel, in response, accused Amnesty International of biased reporting and defended its military actions as necessary for self-defense. The conflict in the region remains a subject of international concern, with calls for a peaceful resolution and respect for human rights.
