A meeting that Somaliland Human Rights supposed to attend in Mogadishu postponed
MOGADISHU– A Human Rights meeting which was supposed to take place in Mogadishu which could see the attendance of Somaliland human rights groups flanked by their Somalia counterparts was delayed. The meeting was organized by East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project which is based in Kampala, Uganda’s capital.
The meeting is due to commence on the tenth of December according to the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project. EHAHRDP stated that the meeting was postponed due to security reasons. The head of EHAHRDP Mr. Hasan Shire Sheikh held a meeting in Hargeisa last August which the government of Somaliland did not had the knowledge. They chose 15 members whereby 4 members hail from Somaliland.
