Somaliland president receives official invitation from Ghanaian counterpart
Accra, June 20, 2013 (SDN) —A delegation headed by the International entrepreneur Deepak Kuntawala, Founder and Chairman of the global commodity trading and finance boutique Company DVK Group accompanied by the head of Africa Development Fund Mr. Hussein Al-ishaqi recently paid working visit to Ghana in order to discuss with the leaders of the possibility of implementing development projects in Ghana.
Hussein Al-ishqi, the head of Africa development Fund conferred with John Dramani, Ghana’s head of state and requested that Dramani should make formal request to the Somaliland counterpart, H. E. Ahmed Silanyo, the president of Somaliland.
Finally, John Dramani has accepted the request of inviting president Silanyo to pay visit to Ghana and meet with their leaders.
President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo of Somaliland is due to receive the invitation letter recently and this is a step taken in the right direction regarding the diplomatic leverage that the country took.
Hussein Al-ishqi has dual nationality of being Djiboutian and Somaliland by birth and met with Ghana’s presidential spokesman Joe Charley and the special secretary of the president Razak Awudulai and the head of Ghana’s Chamber of Commerce Adjei Baah.
Jeo Charley, Ghana’s presidential spokesman hosted private dinner banquet in honor of visiting delegation.
It was attended by Ghana’s parliamentarians and members of council of ministers.
The sides discussed to further consolidate the working ties and the role that DVK will play regarding the development projects in Ghana.
On the other hand, it was discussed the lions share that Ghana can play on the recognition of Somaliland.
