Celebrating death and the destruction Event in Hargeisa by Some members of Ucid Party ( DAGAALKEE SOKEEYE)
Recently in Hargeisa, few members of UCID party have celebrated for an event in the past that caused the death of hundreds of Somalilanders, the destruction of the hundreds of millions worth properties and inflicted thousands Somalilander refugees in many major cities in Somaliland.
They named the event as SNM disarmament campaign, but actually most Somalilanders known as DAGAALKEE SOKEEYE. Indeed, this was an act of provocation, which surprised the public and perhaps the whole public did not noticed this aggravation matter.
The history of every country had bad days and good days to remember. However, in normal human practice, mankind never celebrates civilian wars between them, as the same refreshes bad memories. Taken this into account, most Somalilanders are wondering the vision and the purpose behind of that the event.
Why this event is not celebrated and marked anywhere else in Somaliland? Why the other national parties such usWadani or Kulimiye are not celebrating the same? Why the government, which represents whole country, is not marking if this event carries any honorable memories? Those organizers for that event are ringing the bell of the dark days, Sorrowful days, in which no Somaliland likes to re-play back or remember.
At the time the people in Somaliland are united under three national Parties, people are wondering the purpose of that event. The history of Somaliland had a plenty of good accessions to mark. What we need is celebrate the events that unit us and not any issues that divides us like the one we observe today in Hargeisa.
We consider those who organized this so- called event of not being true Somalilanders, since they are reminding the people the agony and the dark days, which had already washed away from our memories.
It appears that, their self interest is speaks louder than the national and the common interest of the nation. Thousands of Somalilanders stretching from Hargieisa to Ergaavo are condemning in strong words the elements, who organized that so called events.
Additionally it is also obvious, the organizers for that event are damaging and downgrading the image of UCID party, since a fast majority of the party members both locally and abroad have not share an identical view with them and consider the matter as self initiated matter and not party initiative purpose. Both the organizers and the speakers for that occasion are very small marginal of the society of one color having an identical ideology, which is not serving the common goal and the S/L society should categorized those elements as spoilers of peace and stability in Somaliland, since those elements are revealing into public the wounds healed by the somalilander.
