Somalia:AMISOM recovers stolen Aid from Al Shabaab base

Lanta Buro(SDN)-A recent AMISOM take over of a former Al Shabaab base in Lanta Buro south of Mugadisho the Capital of Somalia came the prove that extremist group indulged in stealing food aid.

AMISOM discovered a large cache of food aid meant for starving Somalis stored in a huge base operated by Al Shabaab.

Al Shabaab used the base as a training facility for their fighters,but also stored there were lots stolen Aid.

Somali and international Aid agencies condemned the Al Shabaab act  and called it deplorable.

The stolen Food were meant for Somalis whom for the second year are facing a disastrous famine and war.

Al Shabaab though are defeated yet control a fast territories in southern part of Somalia which faces the majority of the devastating drought.

The group is yet to address the AMISOM findings and the wrath of the Aid groups in Somalia.

Somalia have been without a central Government since the collapse of the Siad Bare regime in 1991.
