Tough Talk from Al-Shabaab in Mogadishu

Al-Shabaab sent a warning to Sierra Leone’s army today which is expected to join AMISOM troops in the city of Mogadishu.

Al-Shabaab’s spokesman Sheekh Ali Mahamud Raage (Ali Dheere) addressed journalists today in the neighbourhood of Ceelasha Biyaha near Mogadishu where he warned the government of Sierra Leone which is preparing to deploy troops to Somalia.

Ali Dheere said Al-Shabaab is prepared to take on its enemies wherever they happen to be and their opponents will suffer heavy casualties and will ultimately suffer the agony of defeat. He described Sierra Leone’s troops as part of an enemy contingent that has hijacked Somali society.

Somalia’s capital city of Mogadishu is now home to troops from neighbouring countries which are part of AMISOM’s mission to eradicate Al-Shabaab, a local militant group that has recently joined forces with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
