Israeli forces target Jenin, shortly after Gaza ceasefire
Jenin (QJ) – Israel has launched a large-scale military operation named “Iron Wall,” targeting the city of Jenin. This comes shortly after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. The operation, involving the Israeli military, police, and the Shin Bet agency, aims to eliminate perceived threats in the area.
Reports indicate that Israeli warplanes bombed Jenin while forces surrounded the refugee camp, restricting access for emergency vehicles. Videos released show a heavy deployment of armored vehicles, including bulldozers.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported casualties, noting that seven deaths had been confirmed but it remains unclear whether the victims were civilians or combatants. The Al-Quds Brigades claimed responsibility for resisting Israeli forces near the refugee camp.
