Deaths in Gaza reaches 38,100

Gaza July 06, 2024(QJ)-Since October 7th, Israeli military airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 87,705 Palestinians and injuries to over 38,100 others, according to Gaza’s health ministry today.

The casualties include at least 87 fatalities since yesterday alone, with 48 reported in the past 24 hours.

Among those killed were 2 UNRWA staff members working in the Maghazi area of central Gaza. Additionally, 5 Palestinian journalists were among those killed in recent hours.

Nine in every 10 people in Gaza are internally displaced due to Israel’s war on the territory, the UN reports, and an estimated 250,000 are living in areas of eastern Khan Younis and Rafah that are under an Israeli military evacuation order, which usually precedes a ground offensive.
