US to sell $2.5 Billions Dollars worth of Ammunition to Israel
Washington March 30, 2024 (QJ) -The United States has announced that it will provide Israel with a substantial arms package worth 2.5 billion dollars, despite Washington expressing concerns about the possible repercussions of an attack on Rafah by Israel.
The Washington Post newspaper, citing two official sources from the Department of Defense and the Administration, reported that President Joe Biden’s administration has agreed to supply Israel with 25 F-35 fighter jets and thousands of indirect bombs to Israel.
Reports from the same sources cited by The Washington Post confirm that the new munitions package includes more than 1,800 MK84 bombs, each weighing 2,000 pounds, and 500 MK82 bombs, each weighing 500 pounds.
This announcement comes shortly after President Joe Biden reiterated his statement that Arab countries will only normalize relations with Israel if progress is made in resolving the Gaza conflict.
