Israel orders Gaza residents to relocate

Gaza (QJ) -The Israeli military issued a warning to all the residents of Gaza City, which has a population of over 1 million, to evacuate south within 24 hours due to an impending strike on the northern of the strip, following the recent rocket attacks from near the Gaza border.

This warning comes as the Israeli forces prepare for a ground operation and continue to tighten their grip on the city. The Israeli military has stated that they will be conducting operations in Gaza in the coming days, and the civilian population is only safe if they leave the city.

In a statement posted on Twitter, IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus said, “IDF is striking the homes of Hamas operatives in Gaza, and its entire terror infrastructure, in the southern Gaza district.”

The United Nations has expressed concerns that any such actions could result in significant humanitarian consequences and urged restraint, while a Hamas official has called the Gaza escalation a “crime of aggression,” appealing to the population not to surrender.

Israel is on high alert as it seeks to dismantle the Hamas group that has been responsible for recent attacks, and the situation in the Gaza Strip remains highly volatile, with many civilian casualties due to the ongoing violence. Israeli media reports that Israel has suffered over 1,300 casualties.

The Gaza authorities report more than 1,500 Palestinian casualties. Gaza, with a population of 2.3 million people, remains under siege.
