Somaliland Sets 2016 Voter Registration

HARGEISA—  The President of the Republic of Somaliland His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo has issued a presidential decree JSL/M/DEC/249-3756 /012016 in which he officially fixed a clear date that voter registration to commence in Todger region on 16/01/2016.

President Silanyo has considered the appeal made by the national electoral commission GDQ/XK/498/2016 which was dated on 02/01/2016.

The Election Commission appealed the president to set a date  when it comes to the voter registration in Somaliland.

Presidential and parliamentary elections are slated to happen in Somaliland in early 2017.
