Somaliland: Man Found hanging dead from a tree in Hargeisa

HARGEISA—- A man has been found hanging dead from a tree in Masallaha village which lies in the vicinity of Egal Airport on Tuesday.

It is reported that his identity is still unknown. People passing by the tree have seen the man hanging while dead and alerted to the police station nearby.

Someone who saw the dead man hanging has told that scars could be seen from the man’s legs.

The injuries led the man to lose more blood into the ground.

Another passersby has told reporters that he could recognize the face of the dead man and added that he was recently suffering from mental illness although it was hard to verify the information.

Police have taken the body of the handing man from the tree and launched an investigation  into the circumstances of the death of the man.

Commiting suicide is a social problem in Somaliland which is blamed for the lack of high unemployment in Somaliland as well as the Khat sessions which is widespread in the country.
