Member of Somaliland parliament reaffirms the stance of the allied defected Kulmiye wing

Hargeisa,3Dec,2015(QJ/SDN)- Hon. Abdirahman Osman Aalin, a member of Somaliland house of assembly who announced his bid to run for the chairman of governing Kulmiye Central council committee but his group, the allied defected Kulmiye wing boycotted the attendance of the council congress on last November announces that plans underway for his group to bring the democratic values to the ruling Kumlmiye party once again.

Mr. Aalin has told in an interview with Geeska Afrika newspaper that the allied defected group have refused to accept the party to be hijacked and added that they objected t see the rules and regulation of the party to be breached.

He strongly stated that their stance was to see free and fair elections when it comes to the choosing the party’s next presidential torchbearer after president Silanyo who retired from political life once he finishes his two years term which the house of elders extended following his five years term expired in 2015.

President Silanyo was elected to the presidency in 2010. Mr. Aalin has sent a message to the incumbent president by saying that he would show a neutrality to the party presidential contenders but added that the president has not hidden his favoritism to a presidential contender.

He reminded that the president’s decision has caused government ministers, director generals to resign from their posts. He said that the president should resolve all disputes and conflicts that arise within the party. He called upon the president to bring the democratic values back to the party.
