Somaliland Security Forces arrest stringer in Burao

Burao,28Nov,2015(QJ/SDN) – Security forces have arrested Mr. Khadar Abdirisak, a stringer for Hadhwanaagnews online newspaper who is based in Burao today.

The mayor of Burao is reported to have authorized the detention of the reporter who was not happy with series of scathingly articles that was published.

Mr. Khadar was interrogated by Criminal Investigation Department officers in Burao but he was today summoned to come once again to its office and he was informed that he was under arrest.

Somaliland has a zero telerance policy towards freedom of the press and ever since Kulmiye leadership assumed office, its adminstration started to harrass the media stringers all across the country.
