Kuwait, Somalia to strengthen media, cultural cooperation

Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Wednesday discussed with Somali Information minister Mohamed Abdi Hayir ways of strengthening media, cultural and tourism’s bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience between the two countries.

During the meeting, Sheikh Salman confirmed Kuwait’s support for the Somali information-culture-tourism’s message against violence, extremism, and terrorism, the minister of information said in a statement.

He also called on Somalia’s Gov’t and people to participate in the activities and to his Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jabar Al -Sabah, who has been designed by the UN as the “Humanitarian Leader” for the generous humaitarian and political support to the nations in need, including Somalia.

The meeting was also attended by Somali ambassador to Kuwait Sheikh Abdul Qadir Amin and the information ministry officials.
