Somaliland Says Will Not Allow More Yemen Refugees
Somaliland authorities have said they will not allow more refugees fleeing Yemen violence inside its territory.
Interior Minister said they reached the decision after the international community and United Nations Refugee Agencies failed to help those already in the area.
Hundreds of refugees mainly Somalis who fled the country during the height of the civil war are fleeing Saudi led coalition airstrikes against Houthi Shia rebels in Yemen via Berbera port.
Somali regional state of Puntland and neighboring country Djibouti are also hosting hundreds Yemen refugees fleeing the conflict in their country.
According to federal government of Somalia task committee put in place to help in citizens fleeing Yemen, more than 500 people have been airlifted to Mogadishu from Bosaso.
