The Former President of the Transitional Federal Government Sheikh Sharif Ahmed founded a new humanitarian Charity in the name of Samadoon. According to Sharif, the Charity Headquarter will be in London.

He stated that his new Charity Organisation is determined to deliver humanitarian assistance to the underprivileged people of Mogadishu and other regions of Somalia.

Sheikh Sharif said ‘’the reason for a charity is to safeguard the people who are most in need, before we exercise politics, we have to help those who are vulnerable in our society’’.

On the other hand, the former President barely condemned Al-Shabab for their restless recent attacks in the Somali Capital of Mogadishu and elsewhere in the country, which caused hundreds of casualties, including senior government officials and diplomats.

There are lots of speculations and rumours emerging from the Former President’s appearance in public places. After he lost the Presidency in 2012, Sharif and his families resided Ugandan Capital of Kampala, before he moved into the United States to attend a University in order to improve his English Language Skills and other courses of Leadership Management modules, and this is where he disappeared.

But, this interval’s new charity provision cannot be undervalued as Sharif and his supporters are still impatient to regain power. This is due to course, that the tribal political turmoil in Mogadishu backing his influence to become a President again.

Sharif’s message today can also be seen as a political signal to the current President. Even though, he didn’t directly criticise Hassan Sheikh’s administration, he indirectly acknowledged the existence of danger and the severity of the insecurity in Mogadishu as well as the injustice, corruption and the mismanagement.

This will hint the political will of these new emerged group of politicians led by Sheikh Sharif.    But the main question lies, whether people have their faith in, to elect in order to lead him into the right path of wider national peace and stability.
