RRU Police barbaric brutality methods to shoot and kill protesters is a crime against humanity

RRU police handle the demonstrations organised by citizens as a result of public grievances and treat the innocent as they fighting with combat enemies. Normally our protest is to speak against some injustice, event, public figure, potential occurrence, etc. Barbaric means uncivilized and brutal. You can use the adjective barbaric to describe anything that’s needlessly cruel, whether it’s the inhumane treatment of people by a barbaric government, or the barbaric way your neighbour treats his dog. Another, milder, definition of barbaric is unsophisticated or uncivilized, like the barbaric behaviour of someone who belches loudly in a fancy restaurant. Demonstration or street protest is action by a mass group or collection of groups of people in favour of political or an issue committed against certain portion of the society. Normally, organizers of public processions are required by law to notify police before few days from the protest date, time and venue of the protest etc. However, our protests normally generated by shameful acts committed against Honourable citizens like the one that take the life of two senior military officers and circumstances does not allowed to get permission from any government institutions, as most demonstrations and protests are involuntarily organized by women and children. Riot police usually formed to handle demonstration and they never use live ammunition, which in commonly used  in  the cases by our RRU. Riot polices by law use less lethal weapons such as batons and whips, tear gas, pepper sprays, rubber bullets, cannons and, armed fighting vehicle etc. Officers performing riot control typically wear protective equipment such as riot helmets; face visors body Armour, gas masks and riot shields. Regrettably, since RRU police was formed few years ago, they use live bullets, which so far taken the lives of innocent citizens and acts same or even worse than Siyad barre regime days.

The main intentions of establishing RRU police is handle terrorism and not for normal public demonstration. Regularly, Somali-land demonstrations organized by unarmed youths and women and therefore what is the logic which tells RRU police to use live ammunition for our youth and women and secondly why they are not trained or given equipment to use during demonstrations. Quite often we hear RRU police justifications which inform that, these youths damaged public property. However, even if that is true, which one more important the life of human being or property which is damaged in case of any. In the event that happens, we can repair the property damaged, but the life of human being that is killed by RRU is regrettable tragedy. Quite often we blame accuse Siyad Barre very bad brutality. Nonetheless our RRU use identical brutality to their innocent citizens. The question is why we accuse Siyad Barre regime if our RRU employ an indistinguishable brutality. Secondly, this government spends lavish money for unnecessary events, which is organized several times in a years and these events cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars, which we can buy riot equipment to our police to handle our public demonstrations in an effort o saving lives. The question is how instructs RRU police to use life ammunition and instructed to kill our innocent youth. We need to know the culprit who instructed to shoot on spot our children and youths as if he is fighting with combat enemy. We want to know when our children become our enemy which is subject to shoot and killed on the spot. Consequently the culprits who instructed to shoot and kill our children must stand in front of court of law to be prosecuted.  As this become a habit of kill our children, how long this tragedy will continue. This type o tragedy have occurred every region in Somali-land and the last one has happened in Gabiley as one police has killed a prisoner, who is, as they said feeling from arrest. However, even if that is the case, which is more dangerous the prisoner run away from arrest or to killed him. Certainly, the prisoner running away is less dangerous than to kill him. In conclusion, enough is enough; this barbaric brutality must be brought into end instantaneously before too late.
