Somaliland: Haji Salah District Police Chief Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen

Haji Salah, 25 Feb 2014 (SDN) – Unknown gunmen have shot and killed Haji Salah District police Chief in Dadmadhedh region.

Local officials said Haji Salah District police Chief Hurre Salah was killed last night while working with polio vaccination officials in the district.

Sources in the district noted that the seven men attackers managed to flee the scene before the police forces cordoned off the area.

The motive of the killing is still unknown but sources in the district blame the killing for revenge killing.

Police officers in Daadmadhedh region are still hunting for the suspects and it is only a matter of time before they are brought in.
