Hargeisa, 25 Feb 2014 (SDN) – Ruling party Kulmiye foes has been brought together in a groundbreaking ceremony and luncheon in Hargeisa as spontaneous outbursts of clapping and cheering lasted through the day at the ruling party Kulmiye headquarters in Hargeisa, on Monday. The celebration came at the conclusion of a reconciliation initiated by President Silanyo aimed at unifying the opposing sides of the ruling party before the upcoming third convention of the party.

The ceremony attended by vice president Abdirahman Zaylici, the current Chairman of Kulmiye Muse Bihi Abdi and his four deputies, the secretary general of the party, finance minister Abdiaziz Mohamed Samale and the conciliating committee.

After several weeks of behind-the-scene shuttle diplomacy and two days of face to face talks in the presidential palace, ruling party’s conciliating committee Saturday issued a ten point recommendation which will serve a lasting solution for leadership wrangles.
