Somaliland: President Silanyo Opens Nation-Wide Polio Vaccination Campaign

Hargeisa, Oct 19, 2013 (SDN) –Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo, today took the first two drops of a nation-wide polio vaccination campaign which will begin tomorrow.  In a ceremony held in presidential palace aimed at promoting polio vaccine in the country, president Silanyo sent an encouragement message to all parents in the country.
In order implement the program hundreds of health workers will take part in the vaccination campaign.

After taking the first two drops Presdient Silanyo encouraged the parents to vaccine their children from polio disease and to cooperate with the health team for successful completion of this program.
The health ministry also asks the parents of the children cooperate with the health workers who will visit them at their homes and try to facilitate vaccination of their children including their sick and guest children at their homes.
