Somaliland: Ministry of Education Announces Intermediate and Secondary Schools Exam Results

Hargeisa, Sep 10, 2013, (SDN)–Somaliland’s Ministry of Education has unveiled the results of intermediate and secondary schools leaving exam for the scholastic year of 2012/2013on Tuesday, Somaliland Monitor reports. The exam results were released in a meeting held at the headquarters of examination and certification board in Hargeisa, where the director of Somaliland’s national examination and certification board Daud Ahmed Farah told to the media that out of 7310 students, who sat for secondary leaving exams, 7017 students passed and the remaining 219 students became absentees.

Similarly 12142 students also sat for the intermediate leaving exams where 193 students failed and 271 students became absentees.

In secondary exam SOS Sheikh secondary school students topped the top ten where 7 of them were SOS Sheikh secondary school students while remaining three students were Noradin secondary school in Hargeisa.
