Kenyan Captives in Somalia Freed

Wajir, July 31, 2013 (SDN) —Two Kenyans abducted by Somali Al Shabaab insurgents in January last year have finally been released 1 ½ years later. State House confirmed release of the two who were abducted back in January 2012 and that the two have been re-united with their families.  The 2, Mule Yesse, a District Officer in Burder Division Wajir and Fredrick Irungu Wainaina from the registrar of persons Wajir South District were released following successful negotiations spearheaded by border communities in North Eastern Province.
