Somali officials for Simba-Kiyovu clash
Somali referee Yabarow Hagi Wiish and linesmen Aweis Ahmed Nur and Abdirahman Omar Abdi are responsible to officiate the Confederation Cup return leg match between Simba and Kiyovu Sport at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
Tanzanian Waziri Sheha has been selected to be the reserve referee while match commissioner happens to be Burundi’s Jean Marie V. Hicuburundi.
Both Simba and Kiyovu have equal opportunities to sail through the next stage of the league after ending their first leg tie played over ten days ago to 1-1 draw.
It’s the visitors who will be playing under pressure in Dar es Salaam as Simba is buoyed by hoe supporters if this can be any advantage to sail through.
In a related development, CAF has given bye 16 teams into the next round of the Confederation Cup basing on their football standard.
The teams include ES Setif (Algeria), Interclube (Angola), Asec Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Enppi (Egypt), AS Real Bamako (Mali), CO de Bamako (Mali) and CO Meknes (Morocco).
Others are WAC (Morocco), Warri Wolves (Nigeria), Heartland (Nigeria), St. Eloi Lupopo (DRC), Us Tshinkunku (DRC), El Amal Otbara (Sudan), Al Ahly Shandy (Sudan), CSS (Tunisia) and CA (Tunisia).
