21, 000 Children missing in Gaza

London April 24, 2024 (QJ) -Close to 21,000 children are missing in Gaza, according to the British aid organization Save the Children.

In a report released today, the organization stated that thousands of missing Palestinian children are believed to be buried under rubble, buried in unmarked graves, harmed by unexploded ordnance, detained by Israeli forces, or lost in the chaos of the conflict.

according to a report from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) earlier this year, Israel has killed more than 14,000 children in Gaza since October 7th, while others suffer from severe malnutrition and “don’t even have the energy to cry,”

The report also noted that around 250 Palestinian children are missing in the occupied West Bank since June 9th.

Jeremy Stoner, Regional Director for Save the Children in the Middle East, is calling for an independent investigation into the situation of the missing children in Gaza and for accountability.
